Four years ago I realized change was a must
If I didn’t do something different, life could have turned into a bust
The stock market a huge part of my life, responsible for others money,
would have my body full of stress,
Massage to the rescue, I would feel better when my therapist, friend
, Diana Schappert, would come to my address.
My family and friends I knew you were there,
I understand my change was a challenge, but I knew you care
Successful I was, although unhealthy, unsure and stuck
Through networking on the internet I found a Diamond Coach,
Kimyon Zari who was worth every buck
I decided to go with her on the Diamond Path
I would hang out in the Diamond Mine on blog talk Radio
and I would learn and laugh
Full of fear, no care for myself, I asked Kimyon, how do you get rid of fear?
With a compassionate voice, she responded find sprit, and it will all disappear.
My circle of influence grew, personal development, spirit and social media was in
Soap operas on TV, worry, and fear would be less, while the
telephone, computer, and homework would begin.
An inspiring new leader Deb Mullen I would find
I was surprised someone would share her wisdom with me and be so kind
I would tweet and retweet, on Twitter, put smiles on people’s faces
All of a sudden I would discover new people and new places.
Finding a mentor De Harris, who was compassionate, confident
and believed in me, A web page was designed,
Bonnie Gortler.com, the Optiongirl, a blogger was to be
Challenges were there, as I learned to write
Work was to be done, but a challenge to stay up late at night.
I was intrigued by Gena Livings a trainer on twitter whose words inspired me
A free trial for a week, I would be worthy to take a chance on my well being to see
Inspired Wellness, a new program for health,
I would become skilled at, like I am with wealth.
Their guidance, compassion, and support was there for me as I was held
accountable stretching, shedding, and feeling the pain while wearing a mask
I would press on with the process, which was no simple task.
More understanding and growth to be attained, it would get harder,
but no quit inside, with my feeling of desire.
Each call with my coaches would bring out the fire
I completed my first weight loss program and I was left to fly on my own
With doubt how much I had grown, I was grateful to be recommended to Pat Barone
My body was getting smaller, flexible, and stronger
My emotions would bounce high and low; learning how to
handle them took a little longer.
Time patience and practice was the cure
Until one day I would feel I could soar
New clothes, new attitude, new mindset as my values would shine
And I would soon learn all would be fine
I was so surprised there could be someone else to trust as time had passed
Sheri Kaye Hoff came into my life; I would take action, be bold, brave,
and daring and have a blast.
Journaling, exercising, studying personal development was my routine
Being grateful, thankful I would feel like a queen
Thank you to everybody that has inspired me,
it’s been amazing to be on a journey with people like you
My message to all, it’s never too late, never give up on yourself,
I have created change and believe YOU CAN TOO
Live life to the fullest, believe in yourself, persevere, smile,
and care It will work out so don’t you despair
Joy, success, happiness is a choice
It comes from within, so listen to your voice.

BONNIE GORTLER - THE OPTIONGIRL INTERVIEW ON WORD OF MOM
Last week I had the opportunity to be a guest on Blog talk Radio hosted by Dori DeCarlo of Word of Mom and share a little about myself in a one hour interview. I was wondering if I would like being a guest as much as I enjoy being in the chat rooms of my friend’s radio shows. I thought speaking for an hour was a long time, and I pondered what the experience would be like. I’ve spoken before but this time speaking was much easier. So much so that I can say it was absolutely fabulous! After the first 5 minutes I felt comfortable and quite relaxed which was different from doing my presentation at my WOW Network speaking engagement in Atlanta when I introduced my colleague and also different than when I presented about my ebook ‘Twitter Magic’ in front of a local networking group in New York. Surprisingly, this interview went by real fast as I relaxed and shared the story of how I started working in the investment field 28 years ago and I am still there today. Dori also allowed me the opportunity to discuss my life as an entrepreneur and expand one work life balance. We had a great time!
When you step out of your comfort zone and you make breakthroughs there is no turning back, the fear is gone. These experiences in the past 6 weeks were great and it was a wonderful feeling to have the support of my friends as I enjoyed the interview process. Dori would ask me questions and the answers came out of my mouth with little or no effort. What a great feeling! I enjoyed my Blog Talk experience and know that I can and will do it again in the future.
Working in the investment field serving clients has taught me so much. Building relationships, networking, and exploring the world on Twitter has given me new friendships with people all around the world (a gift that I will always treasure). It is, however, within these past few weeks that everything has been brought full circle since reaching my goal of public speaking and achieving my weight loss goal of 45 pounds. All I can do is smile. What a way to end 2010.

On December 2 2010, I was asked to be a feature guest for The BBCQLI to talk about my favorite social media place on the internet - Twitter.
The Business Breakfast Club of Queens and Long Island (BBCQLI) was the first in person networking group that I was exposed to. I learned the importance of how networking leads to building long lasting relationships and become the foundation to your business. My first presentation was as a new Arbonne independent consultant while I was balancing my new role as an entrepreneur with being a corporate professional. The members were kind, understanding, and a great group of business leaders who would gather each week to share their business experience, referrals and opportunities with one other for breakfast each Thursday at 7AM.
I am looking forward to seeing them again to share my Twitter expertise and to inspire the members to branch out into the world of social media.
