Family time is very special and on holidays we always make it a point to get together. Being with your your immediate family and friends is special fun and uplifting.  One of my favorite times of the year is when the Jewish holiday Rosh Hashanah comes around. It’s approaching rather quickly and starts at sundown on September 28 through the 30th. My family makes it a point to come together year in and year out. We celebrate, share our love and have fun with one another.  There are many ways to get into the holiday mood, and I’ve shared this uplifting video with you to celebrate.

Another exciting part of the holiday is the many special foods we share. My favorite is when we eat a piece of apple dipped in honey to symbolize our desire for a sweet year. All the foods have special significance and symbolize sweetness, blessings, and abundance. And as with every major Jewish holiday, candles are lit, appropriate blessings are made followed by a festive meal with loved ones.
