This is especially helpful during these economic times since some investors are not in a position to take much risk on their money and would like to know where they can find the best return for their money. This won’t be a challenge for you since using Barron’s will allow you to find the best paying money market accounts, top savings deposit yield anywhere from 90 days to 5 years and with money rates right at your finger tips. The good news is they will not stay as low as they are now forever thereby increasing the potential for your money to gain a higher return sooner than expected. Keep in mind that the Barron’s is a great resource for crucial information you can access weekly along with the contact information for some of the best banks in the country for easy accessibility.

At first Barron’s can seem a bit overwhelming, I assure you that you will find Barron’s to be a great resource and easy to access in both newspaper form or by computer.  The Barron’s weekly edition appears each Saturday after the conclusion of the week’s trading activity and is broken down in four sections.

1. Technology Week – technology company information

2. Market Week – coverage of the previous week’s market activity

3. Mutual Funds – coverage of mutual funds

4. The Wrap – analysis and outlook columns

You will read opinions from various market gurus who are very knowledgeable from all over the world along with suggestions of stocks and mutual funds to buy.  The technical data inside as proven a vital asset for advisors and market technicians who use Barron’s to compute weekly analysis for scanning ease and evaluation purposes.

It is great for the individual investor, as well. It has been a trusted resource for investment advisors, financial planners, and day trader’s who actively buy and sell securities. They know that the sections  give you a sense of  what has occurred in the market; positive when investors have made money or a sense of caution as  investors have lost money. Limiting losses is most important and maximizing your profits is the key to making money in the stock market. A review each week you can show you who advises caution as risk has increased and what may be greater than the reward.

A story can be told by looking at charts of a few of the  major averages of the market, The Dow Industrials, Transportation and Utility average which are shown each week, along with performance data of many other market indices. You will be able to tell by the chart if the market was up or down for the week and by how much.

So as you should be able to tell after reading this article the Barron’s has the information that will help you with your investments. It is up to you to invest the time, have patience, and develop a habit of reading it so you can use it to your best advantage. I’ve also included a reference of key terms for you to access should you get stuck. Remember, patience, preparation and being ready to act with your investments is beneficial as you can identify when to invested your capital in  an environment that has improved odds, offers less risk and more favorable returns.
