When it comes to your career change put fear in your heart or do you become empowered by a challenge? With the current state of our nation’s economy and the uncertainty of even what has been considered the most stable of jobs, it appears that answers are necessary right here and right now. If you’ve ridden the the corporate roller coaster and desire to move beyond the norm into something different then finding a network marketing company could be just the thing for you.  Yes, it does require you to be bold, brave, and daring  but remember that the Network Marketing business has grown to include over 40 million people within this still prosperous and exciting industry. There are 175,000 people in the United States joining network marketing companies per week and 300,000 globally. The best part is that with some commitment and hard work on the front end you have ability to earn a competitive income and help others at the same time which can be very fulfilling within it self. If your worried about how the state of our economy is affecting the industry then you’ll be pleased to know that sales are up over 15% since 1995 with no end in sight. Pretty good news to those who are looking for a change and for something that will build toward a better future. 

One of the biggest barriers to finding success within network marketing companies is that too many people give up too soon. Sales is difficult within in any industry and don’t be fooled when someone tells you that when you are in networking marketing that you are not in sales. If you have a product or service you want someone to buy and you earn more money with the number of units sold then you must accept the fact that YOU are in sales. Too often it is easy to become discouraged when you hear no after no from those you come into contact with. Especially when you are excited about the opportunity and how much it can help answer an issue that your prospect may be experiencing. I wish I could say there was some magic pill that would take all of the fear and apprehension away from those you come into contact with and that just from meeting you that your prospects would give yes after yes. Unfortunately it doesn’t work this way but that doesn’t mean that network marketing doesn’t work. YOU just have to discover your flow and when matched with the right opportunity then you will find success after success. What is important is that you take a true leadership role in the direction of the opportunity that you choose. It is important that you make the decision to be the leader of your own destiny. 

You must remember that people can feel your energy whether it’s positive or negative. If you are serious about moving beyond your current circumstances it is important to know your ‘WHY’ and truly ‘Believe’ in your gift as you ‘SHARE’ with others to help improve their life.  Take those extra moments to ask those questions that will minimize the no’s. Because if you are not fulfilling a need then you will continue to hear those same no’s over and over again but with different people. Begin to listen to what your prospects need instead of telling them what you have. You will find this is a key characteristic within effective leadership. Tune into others and watch your own empire grow. There is no way for you to make the decisions for others because you never really know the other persons thoughts, circumstances or most of all… their ‘why’s’ because it is different and unique to everyone.

Leadership skills are developed over time and can be applied accross the board to other areas of your life. 1. You are a dreamer; you know what you want because you are not afraid to dream what you desire in life and dream big.

2. You don’t try, you commit.

3. As a top network marketer you decide, choose and believe in your success. You are engaged in activity, set goals and rise above short term road blocks. You often use these road blocks to propel your dreams forward and become stronger because of them. 

4. You are involved with companies that have a system which is teachable and can be duplicated. Leaders do not look to reinvent wheel. They make it a habit to share with the team and offer the support necessary for success. 

5. You are enthusiastic, have a positive mental attitude and a strong desire to earn excess money

6. You think first then respond. Never react.

7. You are a builder, one person a time, and as your team grows you invest in systems that offer support and success.

8. You work on personal growth by building yourself mentally, emotionally and physically to be successful.

9. You stay plugged in to the company, know what is going on, you read and lead others to success by example.

10. You are driven by relationship not fame or money.

11. You search for people to succeed and you share and care about others success.

12. Perfection doesn’t exist. You shoot for excellence, as you always do your best and be the best that you can be.

13. You find the good in all people and your company, not what is wrong.

14. Always share something and help if something goes wrong.

15. Remember to praise, encourage, and inspire others. Be a motivator by telling your team like you would tell yourself. Encourager’s are winners and winners are producers.

16. Be present, look good, talk well and be there when you are needed. Remember you can make a make a difference in lives of thousands of people. 

17. Be excitable and positive, it’s contagious to others.

18. Your attitude is important, be positive, excited and inspiring to others. Help your team change their life by sharing the system and supporting them. Be willing and ready; show them that you are part of something big for them. Believe in them.

19.. Be persistent and patient while prospecting others to join your team.  Not everyone says yes the first time, it could take 10 times, seven is the average.

20. Be in it for the long term not the short hall. Don’t fear being rejected, the more no’s you get the better chance of receiving a yes.

21. People have feelings.  Be a good listener. It’s not always about how much you know, but it’s about how much you care about them.

Being in a network marketing company can be life changing experience. Team members are always at a different places in time so it is important to open with everyone. A great leader will support others to reach their goals. In Network Marketing, remember nobody is born one. Greatness is achieved as you learn and grow each and every day. Keep it simple as you take the right steps to help people get what they want and desire. When you do this everyone then becomes a winner.
