Bonnie’s Market Update 8/23/24

A broad rally last week. Ten of the eleven S&P SPDR sectors were higher last week. Real Estate (XLRE) and Consumer Discretionary (XLC) were the best sectors, while Technology (XLY) and Energy (XLE) were the weakest. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) gained +1.41%.

Small Caps, both Growth and Value, came to life last week. Most gains in Small Caps were on Friday after Fed Chair Powell indicated rate cuts ahead.
