Six Simple Tips to Feel Good

Life is full of opportunities to feel better, even in the smallest moments. With the right mindset and a few simple changes to your habits, you can care for yourself in gentle, consistent, and meaningful ways.

It’s easy to get upset by something that happens in your day. However, you have a choice. You can pause, shake it off, learn from the experience, and move on. When a challenge comes your way, stop and ask yourself this question: “How can I make this simple?”

Look beyond the issue at hand and concentrate on finding a solution. By deciding to face your challenges, you will have taken a significant step in changing your mindset and working through whatever comes your way.

What could you change now to make your challenges feel more manageable? Sometimes, a small shift creates the biggest impact.

Change can feel overwhelming at times. You may find yourself a bit frustrated as you go through the process. By giving yourself grace and allowing time for self-care, you will grow stronger with each step forward.

Be patient with yourself. Consistently doing what you love will get you where you want to be. Go at your own pace, so you stay committed. Once your momentum begins, you will notice the benefits.

  1. Practice gratitude each day.
    Write down five things you are grateful for when you wake up. You will start to feel positive and find yourself enjoying the little things that happen in your day.

  2. Move your body every day.
    Exercise is an excellent way to feel better and put you in good spirits. Find an exercise or two that you like. For example, I enjoy going for a walk and practicing yoga, and in no time, I’m feeling good and more relaxed.

  3. Start your day on a positive note.
    Do two simple things before you go to sleep that will help you the next day, so you are not in a rush in the morning.
    For example: prepare the clothes you will wear the next day. Prepare a few healthy snacks to take with you at a moment’s notice.

  4. Remember to schedule YOU time.
    Each day, you want to do something you love that gives you joy and happiness.

  5. Write down three top tasks you want to do for the day.
    First, choose the most challenging task you want to achieve first, and then take one simple action step.
    When you complete it, you will feel a sense of accomplishment.

  6. Quiet your mind daily.
    Set aside a few minutes for peaceful alone time. For example, journaling, meditation, or simply sitting quietly with a cup of tea. These moments help you reset and reconnect with yourself.
