Three Steps to Feel Great Now

Well-being is a foundation that sets you on a path to live a happier, healthier, wealthier life, doing what you love and feeling peaceful on a daily basis. Imagine life without an overwhelming to-do list. Visualize a daily routine that makes you feel good. The daily rituals you implement will become automatic. Begin your well-being journey today. Below are three steps to get started.

Step one:

Begin the process by starting your day right by stimulating your mind and body. Focus your thoughts on what you do want. Create change by doing something different to achieve the goals you want. For example, when you wake up, remember it’s a new day full of possibilities and opportunities. What are you grateful for? Yesterday is in the past. Be aware of negative thoughts, frustration, anger, what is not going well, and what you don’t want. Instead, shift your focus and think positive thoughts that shift you to a better feeling. For example, thinking about a friend or loved one who makes you smile, starting a project that excites you, or being at your favorite vacation destination.

Step Two:

Prepare a plan of action. The key is to make it simple and start. You can add or change it in the future. Get in the habit of writing down 3-to 5 things to accomplish each day that are important to you. For example, I journal in the morning, do 30 minutes of exercise, post on my Grow Your Wealth and Well-Being Facebook Group, review stock market charts, and meet with clients. Whatever I don’t complete during that day, I add to the plan the next day until I do the task.

Step Three:

Schedule time each day to do something you love. Decide you are going to do at least one item each day that moves you towards one of your goals. If you have some extra time and do more, then you will achieve your goal quickly. Consistency will help you achieve your goals.

The key is to be consistent and disciplined and take small action steps on your journey, doing what you are passionate about while enjoying your life. Be patient, and trust the results will happen. Avoid telling yourself stories of what you can’t do that could sabotage your success. Change your thoughts to believing you can do it. Train your mind to be positive and take an optimistic outlook as you manage your daily decisions. Focus on getting clear on where you want to go and what goals you want to achieve, and make the daily commitment that will get you there. In time, you will accomplish what you never imagined possible.

Perhaps you decide to write a book, then you need to create time in your day to write. Thinking you need to find 3-4 hours at a time may be overwhelming. Instead, choose to write a minimum of 150 words a day for five days a week. You will be surprised at how much you accomplish when you create the writing habit. In a short time, you will be well on your way to completing your desired goal. Some days, you may feel inspired and write more than 150 words. You can approach improving your well-being in the same way. You don’t have to change everything all at once. One change leads to another.

You may be a person who likes to start your day working out early in the morning. Schedule a time on your calendar for working out. I worked out in the morning for many years. However, later in my journey, it was better for me to work out in the evening to better manage my stress and shift my thoughts away from the stock market, which gave me a sense of inner peace.

What simple habits can you start now to develop new patterns for your well-being success?

Creating discipline will lead you on your journey toward achieving the goals you desire. Get started with taking simple action steps one at a time. Explore and experiment until you find the right combination for you. Get to a point where your habits become automatic.

If you are patient, the action steps you take will become more comfortable over time because you will gain confidence as you practice, and you will begin to feel better and stronger. Once you start to see the change, you will be ready to add a few more action steps. Your dedication will positively impact your life.
