5 Tips for Feeling Good

What would it be like if you could balance your wealth and your well-being? You can have both in your life.

Life is full of twists and turns. If you are not feeling good, then begin to simplify your obligations and work responsibilities. When you discipline yourself to care about your well-being, you will find you have more daily energy, happiness, and you will feel more inner peace.

Develop routines and strategies that will limit your stress and increase your happiness. Do what you are passionate about? I help people make money and take care of their well-being, so they feel good. Make up your mind that you will choose one action step today toward doing more of what you love to do so you can feel good.

Decide you will plan at least a few minutes each day dedicated to what brings you joy and happiness. Get in the habit of planning for “me time” or other plans will become a priority.  Start your day doing something positive. For example, read what inspires you, listen to music that energizes you, meditate to find your center, or begin the day by implementing that exercise program you’ve wanted to do.

If you’ve already started the process, then you may find you are at a point where you are not making as much progress as you would like. If this happens, be patient with yourself, don’t stop, keep going. Look at your schedule and see where you may be overextended. Don’t allow your day to be so full that there is no place for your well-being.

It takes time to develop new thoughts and habits.  Sometimes you might need to practice more than you thought was necessary before a new pattern finally clicks. However, when you do, you begin to reap the rewards and feel good.  Like any habit, once you take action consistently, you will get better, and it will become second nature to you.  Below I’ve put together some tips to help you make changes toward improving your well-being, so you feel good.

Five Tips for Feeling Good

  1. Reduce the amount of time you worry. Over 90% of what you worry about will work itself out within a few days.
  2. Schedule an appointment on your calendar with yourself. Do something you love. Some examples: Take a yoga/exercise class. Read a book or listen to an audiobook for 15 minutes a day. Go through an old photo album and remember the good times you had with friends and family.
  3. Shift your mindset to be more positive if you are frustrated or upset. A helpful strategy is to write down a list of 5 things that make you smile. Choose one and do it.
  4. Get up an hour earlier to start your day. Use the time to create a daily routine that makes you happy. Ex. Journaling, meditation, reading, listening to music, or walking.
  5. Do less, not more. Remove, simplify, or tweak one item that you often do and are not getting the results that you thought you would.

Start creating a different lifestyle, spending quality time with yourself doing what you love. Make it a priority to take care of your well-being, and focus on doing what makes you feel good.
