Investing in YOU is something to do all year long, not just for a holiday, or a week or just once in a while. Yes this might be challenging sometimes, but in the long run taking care of your health and well-being helps everything and everyone around you. I hope you enjoyed the holiday season being with family and friends. A new year approaches and a new beginning. Keep taking small strategic steps toward your goals and desires. Each success brings you closer to a life of tranquility instead of a life filled with stress and worry. You will become happier, healthier and more content if you work toward your dreams in a slow steady pace. Doing more doesn’t always make things better, and you will be surprised how relaxing life can be once you begin to focus on what you are passionate. You will feel a true sense of renewal and begin to finally live the inspired lifestyle you desire.

Tranquility is defined by Dictionary.com as a “quality or state of being calmness, peacefulness, quiet, and serenity.” This is exactly what I wish for all of you!

Whether it’s during the holiday season, the start of a New Year or just another normal day making well-being a priority is essential. Did you ever notice how some days are super busy and other days are quiet and peaceful?  Sometimes you may even feel a little anxious and uncertain. Wouldn’t it be great if you could jump start your day on your terms and be full of energy and unstoppable happiness? You can have this once you decide to create a real change in your life with some simple action steps that will bring you to the next level and beyond. To follow are some systematic steps toward a lifestyle of peace and tranquility as you move ever closer to successfully doing what you want to do.

Easy Steps To Improve Your Well-Being With More Well-being-this-way1Tranquility and Less Stress

  • Start your day an hour earlier and finally create some private time for you. Once you do so you will be pleasantly surprised just how much you  get done during this peaceful time of the day. Mix it up a bit and add some of your favorite music while enjoying the beauty around you. What a great way to start your day!
  • Choose something that you like to do and that you are passionate about. This could be writing, prayer, meditation, or even exercise. It doesn’t matter the activity as long as it’s whatever you like to do and will shift your thoughts into a more positive frame of mind. (I love my time for writing, exercise, and researching information about fantasy sports with music in the background)
  • Do less. I’m sure you have heard of the K.I.S.S. principle- Keep it simple stupid. Do you use this principle? If not, why? Stop now and make the decision to remove one item that you do often and are not getting the results you desire, and simplify it. By using this principle you will get more done, be happier and less stressed.
  • Set goals for 3 months, 6 months and a year. Enjoy the journey. Pick one to start working on in the short term that will move you towards your longer-term goal. Choose one thing at a time, focus on it, and make it happen.
  • Create a morning and evening routine to start and end your day on a positive note.
  • Empty your E mail inbox and clear your desk regularly. This will help you if you are feeling overwhelmed.
  • Respond to others without reacting. Raise your awareness to your surroundings. If someone says or does something to you that you don’t like, say and do nothing. Count to 10 before you respond. If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t!
  • Be kind and compassionate. Be thoughtful of how others feel. Think about what the other person might be going through. Don’t judge them. Remember there are two sides to every story.
  • Be patient, kind, not hard on yourself.  If you had a little too much to eat during your day, or at a party, don’t beat yourself up. This will get you nowhere fast. Give your body some love, create time into your schedule and go for a walk. Clear your mind from the stress and think positive thoughts.
  • Move your body. Exercise. See if you can make this a daily habit. Get into the habit. Start simply with 5 minutes each day. Expand the time with what works for you. Exercise not only helps you lose weight but it could make you feel so much better like it has done for me.
  • Find your passion. Do what you love to do regularly. Let your creativity shine through. You will be happier, more tranquil and less stressed.
  • Be held accountable. Find a coach or partner who will support you to on your journey in life.
  • Review and write down your financial plan to simplify your finances as you focus on growing your wealth.

You really do have the power to jump start your day and be full of energy and unstoppable happiness! All it takes to get started is choosing one action step and following through with focused attention. You will create real change once you start. Remember to believe in yourself because you can do anything that you set your mind to. Let today be the day that you make the decision that will lead you toward less stress and more tranquility as your dreams become reality.

Who comes to your mind when you think of the word friend? Some of you know many people, as far back to childhood, high school or have college buddies that are friends and keep up with them using social media. You’ve probably noticed using the internet just how easy it is to meet and make new friends and build relationships you may have not done so otherwise. Yes, technology has worked its way into our personal relationships, but do we really know what it means to be a friend?

Dictionary.com defines the word friend as

A person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard 

a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter

How many friends can you speak with openly, who are good listeners, and are there for you? These are the people who don’t get mad over nonsense and would never judge you. We’re not talking about those who do and then decide not be your friend anymore. Life is too short for that. We’re shining light on those who you can be yourself with no matter what, and agree to disagree. A true friend is someone who believes in you and you share feelings of mutual closeness with an uncanny amount of rapport and trust that only grows with time, nonstop understanding, and a trust between one another.
 
It’s not necessary to talk to them all the time and you may only keep in touch periodically. It could be a week, month or even a year later, but when you do reconnect it’s as if you had never stopped talking.  You have a special bond, a feeling inside that radiates positive energy, peace, excitement, joy, and love. True friends are one of life’s wonderful blessings. They are exceptionally rare, sacred, and a treasure to have.
 

Did you know that you already have a trusted friend who will never let you down?  One you can trust completely, one who will always keep your most precious secrets secret, and one who is literally on call 24-7. That’s pretty amazing, right?  Realize who your best friend really is.

 

You Are Your Own Best Friend.

When you appreciate this friendship with yourself, you will be able to have the fullness in experiences with all of your “other” friends. This is because you have learned to find joy and contentment within yourself.  When you love and make friends with yourself, you find that you are not as demanding of others and feel disappointed by them. This is because you are meeting your own needs and not looking outside yourself for others to fill that void. You will realize you have everything you would ever want. You will discover that it is all within you.  By acknowledging your positive qualities, strengths, and shortcomings is how  to truly appreciate yourself.  Love yourself and become your own best friend.  Allow and accept yourself for who you are and realize that you are perfect (flaws and all) exactly the way you are.

Let today be the day you make a commitment to you by becoming your own best friend.  Be gentle with yourself. Show yourself grace and kindness because you really do matter.  Set aside quality time for you.

  • take a daily walk, start with 5 minutes
  • journal, even if it’s one sentence
  • clear your mind, by listening to music that relaxes you

It’s your choice, however something that you don’t already do now and it’s something that you really enjoy.

What could you do  now that will  enhance your friendship with you? Don’t worry about the past, or the future.  Enjoy the moment, let life flow by, becoming the friend who never lets you down.

Each of us needs a boost now and then, towards achieving our goals and dreams.  We all feel fear.  What would it be like to you when you feel the fear you decide to do it anyway.  It’s so much better than procrastinating and taking no action.  When you do what you fear you will have an amazing feeling after you take the action towards your fear.  If you are waffling with your decision, ask yourself what simple step can I take now to embrace my fear?

Be your best friend and listen to your heart.  Don”t let what others stop you from what you desire. Believe in your abilities, live your passion and be the confident you.

Take a moment to look around and see there is an abundance of hope around us if we just believe. Believing in our dreams or aspirations, let alone ourselves, isn’t always easy, since life can become quite chaotic and we can become lost in the process. When those moments of hesitation or self-doubt arise then it’s within those moments when we need to slow down, quiet our minds and reaffirm our decision to believe in ourselves by feeling the fear and doing it anyway. The power of action can be liberating. You only need to put one step forward to begin the process of believing in you.

Believe in You

When you lack passion, feel overwhelmed or are filled with uncertainty, you will see those feelings of disbelief set in. Such feelings serve as a signal for you to dig deeper in what is really going on inside of yourself. Take the time to look for inner guidance and learn to trust your instincts. As you find answers you will grow to recognize your strengths and abilities and not dwell solely on your limitations. You have the power from within to believe. Never forget that belief is a state of mind that is strengthened with patience, dedication, and plenty of practice.

What are your goals, hopes, or desires? Have you wanted to try something different or set out on a new adventure but stopped yourself before even getting started? I know I have many times and I suspect I will again, but the one thing that has kept me moving closer to my dreams is focused action. Sometimes life demands and obligations wreak havoc which can cause fear deep within. There is no need to be afraid because 99% of the time what we fear doesn’t happen. There is a story you are telling yourself, and it will get you nowhere.  There can be miracles when you believe.  It all starts and ends with you.  When the time is right and you are ready it shows up.  Be patient with the process, practice being kind with yourself, and believe that miracles will happen. Once you make the decision to take action then you are half way there. Start with the thought of believing you can and you will achieve your goals. You can do anything you set your mind to.

Find an environment that you can trust, feel safe, and where you can begin to create real change in your life. Once you begin the journey you may discover an ever-growing stream of obstacles that block your path. Perhaps fear might get in the way or you may even create nonessential tasks to avoid a situation that’s been on your to do list for a long time. Either way, you want to be prepared and follow through on the decision to make a different choice. There is no need to ever beat yourself up because you haven’t achieved your goal. Just remember to focus on the process of believing in your heart that you can and that you will. Once you do this you will find that obstacles become minor distractions and you become stronger in the process.

Imagine what your life would be like if you worried less, lived a life filled with confidence, and that you enthusiastically took action with an ease and flow that only comes when you truly believe. You will experience your dreams when you believe in yourself and that you can achieve what you set your mind to.

Are you committed to what you do? Do you have belief in you?

If you don’t believe in your abilities right now just ponder a moment that someone in your life who let you know or showed you that they believed in you. This could be a friend, a partner, or a coach. How did it feel? Was the moment filled with happiness and relief or was it filled with disbelief? Your answer can tell you a lot about how much you do or don’t believe in yourself. It’s wonderful knowing that someone in your life believes in you. It’s a special feeling inside that touches your heart and helps you to start believing in yourself as well. Do you ever wonder what they see in you? Why they never question or doubt your ability? Hopefully you understand that others can see in us the things we fail to because they don’t have preconceived notions or the self-defeating talk that we carry around with us. No matter how many cheerleaders you may have in your corner it’s still up to you to find the inner strength to accept your gifts and talents and use them to create the life you’ve dreamed about. You want to be able to forgive others who may be holding you back (including yourself) and accept the fact that you, your feelings and your dreams really do matter.

Sometimes we need to step back to see things just as they are.  It just may take another person to show you just how beautiful and wonderful you really are for you to see it for yourself.  I know this was the case for me when I started on my journey of wealth and well-being. Jumping on board when a good friend or loved one believes in you is the best gift you can give yourself. Others are there for support and can guide, lead, or even provide you a road map until you are ready to take the reins for yourself. Learn to use their confidence in your favor whenever doubt or uncertainty creep in. Before long you won’t have to rely on motivation or strength from someone else because you will understand and believe in yourself. It all begins when you accept and trust yourself. Remember you are human, nobody is perfect. Do the best that you can do. Mistakes happen, so you might as well learn the valuable lessons, share the wisdom, and then move on! There will be more challenges and even bigger lessons just ahead. When you fall and then rise again, YOU become a stronger person because you’ve learned to believe in yourself without doubt and fear. Believe, face your fears, persevere, and you will achieve!

Please print them out and read them each day so you can learn to believe in yourself and allow the world to benefit from all that you have to offer.

  • Never give up. Always choose to persevere because when it’s time and you are ready, it will happen.

  • Be sincerely grateful for those who have faith in your talents and abilities.
  • Never quit and say it’s not possible.
  • Look to your inner guidance, know your capabilities and learn to trust your instincts.
  • There is always choice. Live your life the way you choose overcoming the challenges that arise. You are strong!
  • Believe in yourself and trust your decisions.
  • Find your own voice to discover the inner confidence within you.
  • Stay positive and think of the wonderful qualities you have.
  • Be in the moment now. Have a one day at a time approach to help bring you clarity instead of a feeling of overwhelm. Some things will work out without you having to do anything.   Say out loud or journal “all is well”.
  • Open up to the world and express what is inside your heart.
  • Live your life knowing you do your best. Your best is always enough!

We all have challenges in life. It’s good to remember the key to happiness is how we handle these challenges. Messages and lessons are everywhere and can be given at any time. What will you do with them when they come around? Will you live in fear or jump at the chance to believe in you like no one else can? Don’t wait; you must take action even when it’s a bit scary. Move forward despite what others may think, say, or do. Be open to growing your belief by expressing your thoughts and feelings from your heart. Our brains can sometime get in the way and keep us from what we desire the most. Act with confidence. Live your life as if you know you will succeed and you will find that it is impossible to fail. Choose to believe something good will happen and become determined to look at things in a positive light. Be yourself; the strong, powerful, courageous YOU that you are. Trust yourself and dream big! Never give up.  Believe in YOU!

As a big believer of personal development it is never far from my thoughts on developing ways to help make life better and to touch the lives of others. When was the last time that you did something different to increase your knowledge to grow personally and professionally as you moved out of your comfort zone? What would it be like to take steps towards fulfilling your dreams, expanding your growth, and to begin living the lifestyle you desire? It’s normal to feel fear when you try something new. Recently I had an incredible four days traveling to Colorado by myself (a real stretch for me) to attend a 16 hour coaching/training event with my coach Sheri Kay Hoff while also incorporating a visit to meet the Schwab trading team in person that I work with in my corporate job. I wanted to use the time to further develop our relationship and also enhance my knowledge of the computer operation for placing of orders for trading thereby learning first hand how this technology could benefit my clients. What a great experience and I will remember it always. After a full day at Schwab I went back to the hotel and had dinner with a friend, and then rested up for my upcoming 2 days of training.

What attracted me to Sheri’s coaching/training event was my desire to further master my inner game. I feel it’s important to have a strong mental mindset. When your inner game is strong you are confident and can make a difference in the lives of others. When done right there is also a feeling of being unstoppable. Being around like minded individuals also helps in keeping you on your toes. What I enjoyed most were the exercises and coaching methods shared by Sheri during the session. Each were impactful and created energy shifts that caused so many breakthroughs.

Sheri and Bonnie 2014The theme of the event was “Be the Inspiration”. The conference guests were all amazing. The environment felt safe, everyone was fully engaged and committed to working through whatever was holding them back. They were open, vulnerable and shared their heart. It was a weekend of community, planning, and expansion. People shared skills and talents that had been buried. Periodically we would all be in a circle put our hands together and say “Be the Inspiration” How empowering! I could feel the connection we had with one another when saying the words. There is an untapped power that comes to life when we really connect with one another. Who have you inspired lately? Take a moment and call a friend just to share some encouraging words and put a smile on their face. You will definitely lift their spirit and discover that yours will be lifted too.

Breaking through your barriers can leave you feeling empowered like never before. You will find as you share in the breakthroughs of others you can’t help but feel enlightened by the entire experience. I had quite a few of these breakthrough moments myself; but the highlight that I treasure was when I faced my fear of public speaking. I stood up in front of the room and read a poem to the group called “She Let Go” (by Rev. Safire Rose which I’ve shared below). May it inspire you the way it has inspired me!

When I was called on to share my poem I was full of fear and could feel the butterflies in my stomach, and despite these overwhelming feelings I did it anyway. I went up said a few words first that I thought would enhance the presentation; however, I received feedback that this was not the case. I was asked to go back to my seat and do it again, but this time go right into the poem. What a great and powerful lesson taught by Sheri. The energy when I did the reading the second time was electrifying! I was truly inspired by the moment and know someday soon I will do even more speaking.Sheri denver sunset 2014

We all should all feel the fear and learn to do it anyway. I am now re-energized by having had time away, in meeting with my coach and business associates, and also in making new friends. It’s difficult to put into words how seeing the mountains, the sunsets, and embracing change was so soothing to my soul. It is an experience that will forever keep me moving beyond my comfort zone.

What would it take to move your out of your comfort zone? Would it be an adventure or simply time focusing on your personal growth? Decide today is the day for you to be bold and adventurous as you reach out to embrace what you really want. Get out of your comfort zone. Is there a project or task that keeps pulling at you and that you can complete? What one action can you take that will create your breakthrough over the next month? Let today be the day you create a new stronger inner game and finally break through the barriers that have been holding you back. You can start by simply telling yourself a new positive story. You must begin to believe you can do anything that you set your mind to. She Let Go

She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.

She let go of the fear.  She let go of the judgments.  She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.  She let go of the committee of indecision within her.  She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons. Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.

She didn’t ask anyone for advice. She didn’t read a book on how to let go.  She didn’t search the scriptures. She just let go.  She let go of all of the memories that held her back.  She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.  She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.

She didn’t promise to let go. She didn’t journal about it. She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer. She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper. She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope. She just let go.

She didn’t analyze whether she should let go. She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter. She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment. She didn’t call the prayer line. She didn’t utter one word. She just let go.

No one was around when it happened. There was no applause or congratulations. No one thanked her or praised her. No one noticed a thing. Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.

There was no effort. There was no struggle. It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It was what it was, and it is just that.

Take the time to think about what you could achieve today if you decided to be brave. These are just a few questions to ponder. What has been burning inside of you just waiting to come out? Ask yourself what is holding you back from going after your dreams?  Decide you are going to take a few minutes  now to do one important goal on your list that you have been avoiding. YOU can do anything you set your mind to.  Even if you have feel some fear, the courage is within you. Decide to make it a point every day to take one action step  to what your heart desires.  Never give up on your dreams! Believe in You… I certainly do!
