Happy 2020! May this year be even better than the last. Now is the time to enjoy your life doing what you love while reaching your goals. What about you? Do you have any solid ideas of what you want to achieve in your life? Have you thought about what are you ready to do differently from last year to successfully achieve your long term goals? A new year and a fresh perspective can put you in the right mindset for achieving what has eluded you thus far. If you missed the mark or if things haven’t worked out as you had hoped, then now is a perfect time for you to reach your goals as we usher in a new decade.

Success is creating a healthy, wealthy, balanced, fun, inspired lifestyle,
living life with love, happiness, & inner peace.~Bonnie Gortler

Success is a journey that takes time.  Personal, as well as professional success, can be learned and achieved. It’s by acknowledging your limitations, being consistent, and disciplined in doing the work that you can make the most progress in reaching your goals. Fortunately, you don’t have to do it alone. It’s ok to ask for support from others so that you will be in the best position for success. Asking for help is a smart thing to do. There are plenty of resources and trained professionals (including me) who can be of assistance to you. Be gentle with yourself and aware not to overwhelm your senses with too high expectations. Remember, you are on a journey and there are limits to how much you can do each day.

Another way to improve your well-being success is to take notice of when you are happy and are working on things that excite you. This is highly beneficial information for creating the life you want. An emotional state of happiness and excitement is a strong sign for you to continue doing more in that area of your life. As you push the process, you may also want to ask yourself why you love it so much and are so productive. The answer may help you realize what is needed when changing course and allow you the guiltless freedom to focus more on what you are passionate about. It may take time for you to excel and master success in this area, but you will certainly be happier when going through the process.

Take small steps toward your well-being to increase your creativity, reduce stress, and to become more productive. When you create a manageable plan to help you reach your goals, you will begin experiencing the inner peace that appears when you focus on the positives of life instead of only seeing what is not working. Feeding your mind pleasant thoughts with a positive outlook will silence the destructive voices that get in the way of you achieving what you most desire. You can control your thoughts.  With enough practice and patience, those pessimistic thoughts will be replaced with a new perspective that will better serve your life.  Start today clearing your mindset and see how much more you enjoy life.

Here are 8 Practices Designed to Improve Your Well-Being Success:

  1. Create one new positive habit as part of your daily routine. By being consistent, the change will begin to feel natural, and your habit will become second nature.
  2. Surround yourself with people who you trust and support you.
  3. Create three goals that you want to achieve.  Break them down into smaller that you can mark off your list one at a time. Enjoy the process and keep away from focusing on the outcome.
  4. Stop worrying about being perfect. Don’t avoid doing something that you want to do because you fear what others might think.  Act today, instead of saying I will do it tomorrow.
  5. Find ways to reduce your workload. Do less, not more. Write a to-do list and check those tasks that you can delegate to someone else.
  6. Create time for you and your family to have fun together. This will do wonders for your overall health and well-being.
  7. Listen to what your body is telling you. If you are constantly tired, get more rest. Slow down, regroup, so that you can re-energize your mind and body.
  8. Respond instead of reacting if you are feeling irritated. Control your first impulsive reaction to answer right away. Count to 10 before you respond. If this doesn’t work, ask if you could get back to the person a little later.

Change is inevitable and can be difficult and hard to manage. Learn to enjoy a life of change without feeling stressed, irritated, or frustrated when working to achieve your goals. You don’t need to know and will not have all the answers in advance. Even small changes can bring you closer to success. Putting simple action steps in motion that won’t overwhelm, you will make all the difference. Choose only what is essential and follow your daily practices, for they will become the foundation for leading you where you want to go. Your well-being success starts with the decision to create change while allowing a new positive perspective to take hold. Embrace your journey by enjoying the process one step at a time. Small steps lead to a massive change when you choose to celebrate your successes along the way.
